On the counter, the wall, a stand. Guests scan, browse, order and give a name while still in line or from their table.

You approve, they watch
Every order is confirmed by staff before it counts, same as taking it yourself. The guest’s phone becomes the pager: confirmed, being prepared, ready.

“Order for Maria!” and her phone already told her. Payment at the counter, the way you take it today.
Keep the pagers in a drawer for the guest who’d rather not scan. Nothing about Desk Axes stops you taking an order at the counter yourself, and staff order entry is built for exactly that.
